Gardens are special places.
They’re where we socialise, relax and listen to the birdsong.
Havens from the bustle of modern life, they soothe the soul.
By providing a personalized service, either as a lone gardener or through one-to-one sessions with you as a companion gardener, I can maintain and help you develop your own special place.
Gardening with Julie is fun, rewarding and makes you want to defy even the foulest weather conditions just to remain a moment longer outdoors!
I have fond memories of my grandmother's garden. I remember picking green beans for dinner or sneaking under the netting of the fruit cage in order to munch on her strawberries.
My family garden used to be full of fuchsia as these were my father's favourite plants and he liked to propagate them. Now that my parents live in South Africa, beautiful orchids are amongst the variety of plants he cultivates. The South African climate is conducive to growing just about anything one could wish to grow. Little wonder I love visiting my parents as much as I do!
Sunday afternoon rambles as a youngster were often taken around privately owned gardens, like Compton Acres in Poole, Dorset.
My passion for gardening became ‘Flower Power’ in 2015. Purchasing a second hand lawn mower and some tools. Embarking on a vision of becoming a professional gardener and companion gardener.
I studied horticulture full time at Borders College in 2018/19.
My family's love of gardening is true of the next generation also: my son even has pet names for his houseplants!
Bee lovely to hear from you.
